1 November, 2012: JK Paper Limited, India’s largest producer of branded paper, organized a knowledge sharing platform to introduce and bring greater awareness about HP’s Colorlok technology to the retailers and distributors in Goa. The event also helped to communicate the recent trends in digital printing, its future prospects and how it is set to bring about transformational changes in the varieties of paper for consumers.

J K Paper has tied up with Hewlett Packard (HP) to avail of its ‘ColorLok’ technology in producing copier paper. With this, JK Paper joined the select List of 11 leading Global Paper Companies like Stora Enso,
M-Real, Mondi, APRIL, etc. These companies have been licensed ‘ColorLok’ technology by HP to provide customers, the right match of paper(s) and with high quality printing experience. The entire range of Copier papers namely JK Copier Plus, JK Copier, JK Easy Copier, Sparkle and Cedar now is available with Colorlok technology.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. AK Ghosh, VP (Marketing & Sales), JK Paper said, “We have taken this opportunity to educate the people about how JK Paper produces high-value paper like ColorLok and its benefits. The ColorLok technology provides JK Paper a qualitative edge and “first mover advantage” in the growing digital printing segment in India. ColorLok papers lock ink at the surface of the paper for improved print quality. These papers are optimised for both Laser and Ink jet printers, photocopiers and all DTP applications. Every time you print on Colorlok Paper, life of your printer increases by 40-60% and decreases needless e-waste”.

He added, “We are taking this technology across India and educating our partners on this innovation and reaffirm our commitment of improving the printing experience for our customers in Goa. Colorlok Paper is easy to de-ink and that makes it eco-friendly.”

Globally and in India, there has been a shift towards digital printing in both commercial and SOHO segments. In India, the digital printing is estimated to have reached more than 9% of total printing market and this share is likely to rise even further over the next few years. ColorLok is an internationally recognized benchmark for quality. Leading suppliers of stationery worldwide such as Staples and Office Depot promote ColorLok.
